I’m a self taught (except what I learned from www.tadbowman.com), award winning photographer and mixed media artist of 14 years. The subjects of my work vary but my love of the city and architecture has been evident in my art for many years. My contemporary works leverage the distortions created by photography combined with several compositional techniques to create an abstraction of the scene. Despite this approach my images are documentary, capturing the place as well as our time. My mixed media presentations are often described as “painterly” and the resulting work can not be described in photographic terms alone.
A metro Denver resident with a love of the city I've spent a significant amount of time photographing Denver (and its surrounding communities). The resulting body of work will document Denver over several decades. Current works also include the Sunflower Series, images taken on Boulder County Colorado farms.
My images are available in limited editions of 25 (that's 25 of each regardless of presentation, color or size). Most images are available in High Dynamic Range (color) and black & white as Fine Art prints or gel transfers.
